From 11 individual categories, listeners will be encouraged to send us their nominations and stories - the winner will then be invited to a glittering, black tie awards ceremony and dinner at the Hilton Avisford Park Hotel on Friday 26th September 2008, hosted by Spirit FM.

Not only will each local hero ‘awardee’ get the recognition for their particular set of circumstances, but we will also donate £200 to their chosen charity, all thanks to the businesses concerned.
